Lewis built a new 27,000 square foot nanotechnology and integrated sciences facility on the University of Oregon campus. The new concrete structure is located underground, embedded in a natural rock shelf in order to minimize impact of external vibration on the laboratory equipment. The facility ties directly into an occupied research building and is located immediately adjacent to two other science buildings, all of which house sensitive equipment.
