Huestis Renovation

Lewis renovated and expanded this zebrafish research facility located in the basement of Huestis Hall. Researchers at the University use zebrafish as a model for understanding the origins of many human diseases such as autism, cancer and congenital heart defects. During construction Lewis installed a new design-build aquaculture system while the old aquaculture system remained in place and in use. Work was phased to accommodate existing building users and active research.
