The Project
Tucked into a mountainside with pristine views of Mount Bachelor and the Three Sisters mountain range is the 330-bed residential community built for Central Oregon Community College. As the first new residence hall on campus in nearly 50 years, the building provides the college with 91 living units that include a mix of quad-single and quad-double rooms.
About
The project consists of two four-story buildings and one five-story building connected via indoor bridges. Each floor includes specified units for resident assistants and a variety of open spaces such as a game room, a community kitchen, and meeting rooms. It was designed and built to step down the sloping hillside with views of the natural surroundings from private bedrooms and public lounges.
