Lewis is the design-builder for the 100,000-square-foot STEM academic facility that will serve the University of Washington and Cascadia College. The progressive-design-build process began with Lewis and the UW selecting Mithun as architect from over 30 worldwide applicants, to maximize value and design excellence serving the diverse needs of two institutions. The facility will feature classrooms, class labs, collaborative faculty offices and student collaboration space, including specialized facilities for biology, chemistry and physics. Complexities include a steep hillside amidst the active campus.
