Providence Seaside Emergency Department Renovation

This $5 million project involved the phased demolition and renovation of an existing Emergency Department at Providence Seaside Hospital. The work was completed in three phases: two primary phases followed by a smaller third phase. Exam and treatment capacity increased from seven beds to nine beds, including an All Treatment Room. Additionally, the project included the addition of a triage room and the expansion of the existing waiting room and nurse station. The scope of work included structural supports, HVAC upgrades including control valves and rooftop duct replacement, electrical upgrades including a dedicated emergency power room with new transfer switch, communications cabling, a new nurse call system and security and access controls.
