Executive Team

Jim Crutcher

Chairman Emeritus

Jim Crutcher joined his father-in-law at Lease Company in 1957, and has held many different positions over the years. He started working in the estimating department and moved to the field as a project engineer at Lincoln High School. He became president in 1983. He has been very active with the AGC, serving as president of the AGC of Washington, president of the AGC Education Foundation, and member of the National AGC Executive Committee. These days Jim is a welcomed and frequent visitor to the jobsites where he enjoys discussing safety, production, and labor management with the project teams.

Bill Lewis

The great-grandson of company founder N.T. Lease, Bill comes by his leadership abilities naturally. His vision, integrity, and humility are evident in the company values and informal company motto: “We all do windows.” Bill is active in the community and serves on the boards of Washington STEM and the Downtown Seattle Association, where he is former chair. His current industry focus is on new approaches to energy services. An avid cyclist, Bill rides almost every day, year round.

Bart Ricketts

Chief Executive Officer

Since joining the firm in 1995 as a project manager, Bart has contributed to the Oregon operation’s growth from a staff of 10 and an annual volume of $2 million to a diverse, talented construction team with $100 million plus in annual revenue. Additionally, Bart has guided the company’s emergence as a leader in sustainable construction, managing one of the first LEED projects in Oregon—the nationally acclaimed Lillis Business Complex at the University of Oregon. When not at work, Bart can be found golfing, skiing, biking, and fly fishing in Central Oregon or cheering on his beloved Oregon Ducks with his wife, son, and daughter.

Berger Dodge

Chief Financial Officer

Berger joined Lewis in 2014, already known and respected from 18 years in finance including similar positions at Todd Shipyards (working with Board member Bill Lewis) and Vigor Industrial. Berger is responsible for all areas of financial and risk management. He reports directly to Chief Executive Officer Bart Ricketts. Berger earned his Bachelors at Boston University, and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Washington's Foster School of Business, including studies at the University of Zurich.
