Chilly embodies the proud tradition of multi-generation families at Lewis—his father Jim for 38 years, and now his son Austin. Safety has been a passion and mission for his entire career. When Chilly started in 1979, safety was coordinated by labor foremen, a position he held for 23 years. Safety coordination was a natural fit when it became a full-time position. A natural leader, he enjoys teaching new generations the talents, wisdom and techniques he learned from his father and other great superintendents.
