Lewis wins Northwest Construction Consumer Council award

On November 2, Lewis won a Northwest Construction Consumer Council (NWCCC) award for the Waterfront Research Center, a 151,000 square foot building renovation at 201 Elliott Avenue North in Seattle. NWCCC is an organization of construction clients from major organizations such as Boeing, the University of Washington, municipalities, and others. Criteria reflect what is meaningful in a project team's performance, including safety, preconstruction teamwork, innovation, and quality. The five-story building is now repositioned as Class A life science space. Among the major upgrades are a completely reworked main entrance, a new atrium cut out clear through the building to windows that overlook Elliott Bay, and "spec" laboratory and office buildouts that feature multiple finish approaches so that potential tenants can visualize their buildouts. Along with our BioRad renovations in 2010, Lewis now has a win streak in the "private project under $10,000,000" category!
