Lewis Announces DCAT Leadership Promotions

This week, Lease Crutcher Lewis announced two leadership promotions within its rapidly-growing Data Center and Advanced Technology Group, or DCAT.

J.B. Hall has been promoted to vice president of DCAT. In this elevated role, J.B. will oversee DCAT projects across the company with a dedicated focus on expanding Lewis’ market share He will continue to oversee Lewis’ joint venture with Phoenix-based GCON that’s building a 72-megawatt datacenter in Waddell, Arizona. Lewis is also partnering with a Texas-based construction company to build a 24-megawatt data center for a major hyperscale provider.

With 38 years in construction management, including 15 years leading data center projects across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, J.B. brings deep expertise to his expanded role.

Lewis is also promoting Mike Sager to director of operations. He’ll lead Lewis’ DCAT work in Oregon and Southwest Washington, which includes delivering NTT’s 138-megawatt  data center campus in Hillsboro, Oregon.

In less than three years, Lewis has grown its DCAT team from the ground up into a major player in the industry.

Today, more than 60 Lewis salaried employees and craft workers are actively engaged in DCAT projects, demonstrating the rapid scale and momentum of the team.

Lewis’ reach spans multiple regions with completed and ongoing projects in Vancouver, B.C.; Seattle; Portland; Dallas; and Phoenix. These efforts collectively represent nearly 250 megawatts of capacity and more than $1 billion in construction value.

Strategic partnerships have played a key role in the growth. In Dallas, Lewis is collaborating with Rogers-O’Brien, also a member of the Citadel Group, a consortium of general contractors, while in Phoenix, Lewis has formed a joint venture with regional general contractor GCON.

In 2024, Lewis ranked among the top 50 data center construction firms in the country. This year, the company is on track to break into the top 25.
