Lease Crutcher Lewis completes PNK Restaurant & Ultra Lounge

Seattle – Lease Crutcher Lewis recently completed a $1 million remodel of the 8,000 square foot PNK Restaurant & Ultra Lounge in Pacific Place. Located on the top floor, PNK is part restaurant, part lounge and part live music venue.

The space includes 44 televisions, two large screen projectors and an enhanced audio system designed for both live music and DJ events – all run from a central booth. There are two full bars in the space as well as two private dining spaces (VIP rooms) – one that is fairly open, the other is more exclusive.  The intention is to maximize the flexibility of the space and create a venue where different size parties can be accommodated.   A mini bar near the ladies lounge is designed as a small area where patrons can relax, fix their makeup and chat.

A central focal point is an 18-foot diameter chandelier that hangs in the “cone” over the main bar and features color-changing LED light fibers. The lighting is set up to run various color programs such as a Seahawks theme while broadcasting the games or reds and pinks for Valentine’s Day.

Nimbleness by the team was important as the owner's concept evolved during construction.  The original 12-week schedule was expanded to 13.5 weeks to accommodate numerous changes. The full build-out included a new concrete topping slab that was later stained for a new floor finish, new walls, new finishes, new casework (featuring the seashell shaped main bar and a second bar), a new wood cased storefront system and tile wainscoting in the main dining room. In addition Lewis facilitated mechanical and electrical upgrades (including installation of the lighting package) and fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Kitchen upgrades included new finishes to floors and ceilings, and installation of owner-furnished kitchen and bar equipment.

Team members participating on the PNK project included: Allbee Romein, architects; Johnson Electric, electric; McKinstry, mechanical; Cosco, fire protection; Master Millwork, Inc., casework; Grund Painting, and Flooring Solutions. The restaurant is owned by the brother and sister team of Tammy and Rob Armijo.
