Matt has two favorite parts of his job. First is being part of a successful team, seeing a project through from start to finish. Second is being able to share his knowledge with apprentices and journeymen, and being able to learn things from them as well. His work philosophy is, “Accuracy should come first, speed will follow.” Matt’s favorite Lewis project to work on so far was the Erb Memorial Union at the University of Oregon because of the timber framing, architectural concrete and the project team. He enjoys spending time with is family, camping, hunting and fishing.
