Excavation at the Grand Belmont site is underway, in preparation for the installation of a unique car stacking matrix. This matrix will sit 17 feet below grade and house a car stacking system capable of holding 44 individual cars. This system will be the main form of parking for new tenants living on this very busy corner in historic SE Portland. In the next couple of weeks, the Lewis self-performed concrete crew will install waterproofing & rebar, pour footings and shotcrete the walls of the matrix pit. Upon completion of the car stacker pit, we will begin forming stair core footings and other foundations.
