Built in 1910, Union Stables was originally a bustling livery for more than 300 working horses that powered Seattle’s early streetcars, fire engines, and freight wagons. Over the decades, the building saw many uses and eventually fell into disrepair.
That changed in 2015, when Lewis and our partners at Allegra Properties purchased and restored Union Stables, breathing new life into this historic landmark.
The project transformed a century-old stable into a vibrant, modern workplace that honors its past. The building’s exposed brick, timber framing, and seismic retrofit is a testament to craftsmanship, sustainability, and our ongoing commitment to Seattle’s urban core.
To mark the 10-year anniversary, we celebrated with recent events for employees and their families, as well as our trade partners and clients.
Union Stables has become a symbol of resilience, reinvention, and community. Here’s to the next chapter!
