Maywood Hills Elementary School
The Project
Through a progressive design-build collaboration with Northshore School District and Mithun, we built a two-story structure with seven teaching spaces and a new cafeteria. Upper-floor areas provide views to the southeast and access to the new fully inclusive playground. This building covers a 16-foot grade change and has an elevator connecting the school entrance to the lower-level learning spaces.
About
The scope also included adding a new bus access lane, re-roofing existing buildings and adding more accessible pathways. We completed the work on the occupied Maywood Hills campus while maintaining school operations in preparation for the 2025–2026 academic year. It was a joy to collaborate with the broader school community throughout the process.
