OSU Inducts Lauren Holmes Into the Academy of Distinguished Engineers

Last week, Oregon State University honored Lewis project executive and OSU alumna Lauren Holmes by inducting her into the Academy of Distinguished Engineers, one of the three categories that comprise the Oregon Stater Awards.
Some fun facts about Lauren:
Project pride: Lauren’s proudest achievement is leading the delivery of the polar bear, primate, and rhino habitats at the Oregon Zoo, a technically complex project that required deep collaboration across diverse teams, stakeholders, and community partners, all while keeping animal wellbeing at the forefront.
Championing others: An advocate for students, women in construction, and emerging industry leaders, Lauren invests deeply in lifting others as she leads.
Industry leadership: Lauren has been an active member of the National Association of Women in Construction’s Portland chapter (NAWIC Portland Chapter 54) since 2005 and has served as president four times.
