Data Centers & Advanced Technology

Lewis’ team has worked with leading DCAT clients to deliver high-performing mission-critical facilities across the Western U.S. Our construction management experts—including in-house MEP engineers and architects—bring deep technical knowledge of these specialized systems and construction approaches.

A Top Data Center Builder

Lewis has built its DCAT team from the ground up. We are 70-plus strong, delivering data center projects in Portland, Seattle, Phoenix and Dallas. With 500-plus megawatts of capacity underway, our portfolio spans new builds, adaptive reuse, and fit-outs, meeting client needs with speed, precision and reliability.

NTT Campus in Oregon

Lewis is delivering NTT's 138-megawatt data center campus in Hillsboro, Oregon.

The scope includes three facilities: a retrofit of an existing building and two new ground-up data centers. The latter two are being delivered simultaneously. This is far from a typical greenfield project. Situated on a constrained 45.5-acre site next to an airport, Lewis has managed constructability, phasing, and execution to deliver maximum capacity. The project includes office and administrative space for future tenants as well as storage, security and loading docks.

Phoenix-13 Project Underway

Crews from a joint venture of Lewis and Phoenix-based general contractor GCON are delivering a 72-megawatt data center on an existing campus in Waddell, Arizona.

In addition to the precast concrete structure and complex envelope of the two-story, 445,000-square-foot data center, the buildout will also include a full fit-out, administrative spaces and loading dock spaces. GCON and Lewis are also managing site work and underground utilities to support the campus's master plan development.

SPEED AND QUALITY AT SCALE

The data center industry is booming, and many owners are facing supply chain challenges; not just with procuring materials, but also with equipment quality issues from manufacturers.

Lewis implements rigorous controls and processes to anticipate and overcome challenges in materials and equipment procurement, eliminating quality issues early on and streamlining delivery and execution in the field.
